The present invention provides a ballpoint pen that is easily manufactured, causes no significant increase in manufacturing costs, has a varying line thickness, and is capable of maintaining a sense of smooth writing by using one ball. The ballpoint pen according to the present invention includes: a ballpoint pen body; an ink-storing ink tube that is accommodated in the ballpoint pen body; a ballpoint pen tip that is coupled and communicates with the ink tube and is provided with a ball accommodating chamber, an ink discharge hole being formed at an end thereof; and a ball that is capable of a rolling motion and is disposed in the ball accommodating chamber of the ballpoint pen tip, the ball causing ink to be applied onto a paper surface. The ink discharge hole of the ballpoint pen tip has an elliptical shape. |
