PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a drive force required for engine single traveling by avoiding the co-rotation of a stepless gear change mechanism at motor single traveling.SOLUTION: A drive unit of a hybrid vehicle comprises between drive sources 1, 2 and drive wheels 3: a planetary gear mechanism 4; a first power transmission route 11 which transmits the power of an internal combustion engine 1 to a first rotating element of the planetary gear mechanism via a stepless gear change mechanism 5 and a first clutch 21; a second power transmission route 12 which transmits the power of an electric motor 2 to a first rotating element via a second clutch 22; a third power transmission route 13 which transmits the power of the electric motor 2 to a second rotating element of the planetary gear mechanism via a third clutch 23; an output route 14 which outputs the power to the drive wheels from a third rotating element of the planetary gear mechanism; a brake 25 which can fix the second rotation element; and a fourth clutch 24 which can connect any of the two rotating elements. The brakes and the clutches are connected and disconnected to/from each other, the planetary gear mechanism is used as a sub-transmission, and thus, internal combustion engine single traveling, motor single traveling, and the power-synthesized traveling of the internal combustion engine and the motor become possible.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
