The present invention relates to a thermoelectric generator. The thermoelectric generator of the present invention includes: a heat absorption surface absorbing heat from an internal combustion engine; a heated surface which is bonded to the heat absorption surface through a semiconductor, and emits heat to the outside; a conductivity conversion part which is intervened between the heat absorption surface and the heated surface, and delivers heat from the internal combustion engine to the heat absorption surface, in case temperature of the internal combustion engine is equal to or exceeds a specific value. The present invention provides the thermoelectric generator having the effect of being able to obtain a constant open circuit voltage without having a bad influence on activation of a post processing apparatus, by absorbing the heat of the internal combustion engine when the temperature of the internal combustion engine is equal to or exceeds the specific value.
