A rear tightener for safety ski bindings comprises a boot pusher 6 pivotally connected to a U-shaped frame 4 by pivot pins 7, the free ends 5 of the frame serving as guides for the tension cable members 3. The pusher 6 contains a spring 9 which bears at one end on a fixed part 8 provided with a centering pin 10 and carrying on a pin a roller 1 which engages the heel of a ski boot; and at the other end on a slider 11 which also has a centering pin. This slider has a central bore through which is screw-threaded a pin 12, this pin extends through a bore 24 in the rear wall of the pusher and forms part of the safety clutch; the slider also has a recess in which is held the tension cable. The other part of the safety clutch is a hook 15 which is rotatably connected to the frame 4. It is provided with a handle 18, an oblique run-up surface 25 and a nose 26, when the pin 12 has moved past the nose the hook is set in its locking position by a spring. In a second embodiment of the invention a pin is mounted in the slider; rotation of this pin is prevented by a bolt which is guided in a slot of the slider. The edges of the slot are provided with a scale and the bolt acts as a pointer indicating the amount of pressure between the rear tightener and the ski.</p> |
