A bearing comprises two rings which receive a member therein so that radial loads are transmitted from one ring to the other by said member; the latter is abutted by a thrust bearing which is mounted in a counter bore of one of the rings. In an embodiment, rings 5, 51, Fig. 1, are mounted in a housing 1 and kingpin bracket 2 respectively and receive a member 9 therein; cups 7, 71 of antifriction material are placed intermediate the rings 5, 51 and the member 9 and a seal 14 is positioned between the rings. The member 9 has surfaces 10, 101, at least one of which is abutted by a face 11 or 111 of a thrust bearing 12 or 121, shims 13 being used for adjustment purposes. In another embodiment, a spherical-shaped member 15, Fig. 2 (not shown), is received by rings 17, 171, a cup 21 of antifriction material is positioned between the member 15 and the ring 171, seals 20 are provided for the ring 17 and the radius of curvature of a thrust bearing 23 is greater than that of the member 15. Resilient elements may be inserted between the rings 51, 171 and the thrust bearings 12, 23 respectively.
