The roller system, designed for deploying and rolling up a flexible cover (B), has its roller mounted on supports (7) on the inside of a hinged shutter (3) which covers a recessed housing (1) adjacent to one end of the pool. The housing contains compression cylinders (11) which are attached at one end to the housing wall near its base and at the other to the roller supports (7) to make the shutter easier to open for operating the roller. The top of the shutter has at least one lock to fix it in the closed position.
