Livestock feed was prepd. by adsorbing corn steep liquor on mixts. contg. zeolite, CaCO3, and MgCO3 as fillers. Thus, 2kg of corn were added to 4L of a 0.3% SO2 soln. and heated for 48hr at 50≦̸C with agitation. At that time, watersoluble components, extd. from the swollen corn, were fermented by lactic-acid bacteria. After removing the corn, the fermn. broth was concentrated in a vacuum to give 250g of corn steep ;liquor, which was adsorbed on 200g of zeolite and 110g of CaCO3 to give an aq. slurry. This slurry was freeze-dried at 160≦̸C to give a powdered prepn. with a size of 1mm diameter. The percentage of moisture was 8.4, 12.2, and 13.3%, resp., when these prepns. were left at 20≦̸C at 75% humidity for 4, 8, and 14 days.
