An arrangement of cutters (4) and spacers (5) are fitted on a pair of shafts (2,3) for cutting the required number and widths of material strips. The shafts are supported by two frame portions (6,7) and driven through a reduction gear box (8) by a motor (1). One frame (7) is movable in the axial direction of the shafts and also transversely, on a two-directional sliding track arrangement (13-17) to allow removal and rearrangement of cutters and discs. The shaft support trust rings (20) are axially movable by hydraulic pressure by piston and cylinder systems incorporated in the end frame (7) and supplied by hydraulic lines (34). |
