PURPOSE:To prevent a disk from being damaged in a transportation period, etc., by forming a disk supporting surface and a disk holding surface in contact with the disk outside periphery of a disk supporter and a disk holder, to a wedge-shaped section the thickness of the narrowest part of which is roughly equal to thickness of the disk or below. CONSTITUTION:A circular arc-shaped disk supporter 21 running along the outside of a disk is provided on the roughly opposite side by placing center of a disk 13 between, against a disk holder 16. This supporter 21 is formed as one body with a cartridge body 12, and also, has a disk supporting surface 21A which is in contact with the disk peripheral surface, this supporting surface 21A also has a wedge-shaped section, and width T5 of its narrowest part is also selected so as to be equal to a disk thickness (t) or below in the same way as width T4 of a disk holding surface 19A. As for a disk cartridge 11 which is constituted in such a way, in a state that it is removed from a recording and reproducing device, an oscillating lever 18 of the disk holder 16 is energized counter clockwise as shown in the figure by a spring 20, and a disk holding roller 19 of the tip pushes the disk peripheral surface and presses the disk 13 against the disk supporter 21.
