The mechanism feeds crown caps to a bottle-sealing machine, having a vertical sorting disc (2) preceding a dispensing hopper, together with a fixed cap passage with inverting tube, inlet bend and transfer mechanism. The disc is driven by a pinion at the periphery and has a profiled guide groove. It slides axially on a main shaft with key to transmit the torque. The main shaft (10) is hollow, and inside it a mechanism slides between closed rear and front open locking positions for the disc. In the latter transmission of torque is interrupted. USE/ADVANTAGE - Simple and rapid opening and closing.
