PURPOSE:To prevent tight corner braking in a front and rear wheels drive vehicle and prevent shocks at the time of inputting power to front wheels. CONSTITUTION:During rectilinear running, by positioning a ball 27 on the taper part of a wedge hole 26 and pushing a second plate 10 rightward, power is transmitted from a case to the differential case 12 of front wheels through a frictional engaging element 22. During turning on a tight corner, the ball 27 is positioned on the deep part of the wedge hole 26 so as to cut off interlocking connection between the case and the differential case 12.
