<p>PURPOSE:To provide a method, by which impurity elements can be removed in good efficiency and good yield from copper or copper alloy scrap or blister as copper raw material before the refining. CONSTITUTION:At the time of refining copper or a copper alloy raw material containing one kind or more of Sn, Fe and Zn and one kind or more of Pb, Ni, Sb, S, Bi and As, process 1: the copper or copper alloy raw material is melted, process 2a: by making oxygen concn. in this molten metal high, Sn, Fe and Zn in the molten are oxidized and transformed to slag, process 2b: one kind or more selected from group composed of Fe, Fe oxide, Mn, and Mn oxide are added to the molten metal and Pb, Ni, Sb, S, Bi and As in the molten metal are transformed to the slag as complex oxides of Fe and/or Mn, process 3: the generated slag is removed and process 4: the reduction treatment is executed to the molten metal, thus by applying these processes in this order, the impurity elements are efficiently removed.</p> |
