PURPOSE:To obtain an ultrasonic gyroscope for measuring the rotational speed and direction of an oscillator equipped with input and output piezoelectric elements and loaded to an object. CONSTITUTION:When an electric signal is inputted to an input piezoelectric element 2, an elastic oscillation is excited to oscillate an oscillator 1. Consequently, in output piezoelectric elements 5, 6, elastic oscillation is excited which is then outputted in the form of an electric signal. In this regard, the voltages of electric signals outputted from the output piezoelectric elements 5, 6 are preset to be offset each other in the stationary state. Consequently, the rotational speed and direction of the oscillator 1 secured to an object can be represented by the difference of output voltage. This constitution realizes driving with a low voltage and a low power consumption while simplifying the structure and reducing the size. |
