The blade (2) has an elongated support frame fixable on a drivable wiper arm, which via at least two claw pairs (6) holds the back (16) of a pliable elastic wiper strip (8) locatable against the windscreen. The claw pairs (6) engage in opposing longitudinal grooves (18,20) which are formed in the back (16). The back has a longitudinally running spring strip. A housing-shaped end cap (10) is provided on at least one end of the back (16) of the wiper strip (8) and secures the wiper strip (8) in relation to the claw pair (6) in an axial direction against slipping outwards, in that it engages behind a stirrup (4) leading away from the claw pair. A single hook-shaped holding arm (28) evolves from a housing basic body (22) of the end cap in the direction of the hook pair and engages behind the stirrup (4), so that the free end of the holding arm faces the housing basic body (22).
