PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To precisely analyze the characteristic of an unstable organic metal complex by ionizing a subject sample solution with an evaporation gas while cooling a de-solvent chamber and an ion source block, and analyzing the mass of the subject sample. SOLUTION: N2 gas is cooled to about -100 deg.C by an evaporation (dry) gas cooling device 6, and a subject sample solution is sprayed at about -20 deg.C. In order to keep the temperature of a spray ionization capillary 3 and the temperature of the spray itself at a low temperature, an evaporation gas (nebulizer gas) such as nitrogen is introduced to an electrospray through the evaporation (dry) gas cooling device 6. During the ionization, a de-solvent chamber 7 and an ion source block 8 is controlled to about 15 deg.C or lower by introducing liquid nitrogen 10 through a liquid nitrogen spray nozzle 9. A sector type mass spectrometer mounted on an electrospray ionization source is used for this experiment.
