PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide manufacturing means by which vibration (run-out deviation) during wire drawing is not generated even when high-speed wire drawing is continued for a long time in the wire drawing operation of bonding wires such as an Au-wire, an Al-wire and a Cu-wire as a metallic wire. SOLUTION: A ceramic film which is non-porous and has a hardness of >=Hv 1,200 is formed on the outer peripheral surface of the capstan roll which is brought into contact with the metallic wire.
