<p>An orthogonal frequency division communication system, which ensures similar advantages to those of TDD (Time Division Duplex) and which allows the assignment ratio between the uplink and the downlink to be changed in a more flexible manner, comprises a plurality of mobile stations and a base station that are connected to each other via the uplink and downlink.
