PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To discriminate between an UNMAPPED state of LBA of an SSD and abnormality of data when the number of times of writing to the SSD is decreased by issuing an UNMAP command to the SSD.SOLUTION: A disk array device includes: a solid state drive which reports state information representing whether an erasure unit physical region is allocated for logical block addressing, and control means of transmitting received data to a host device based upon the reported state information when receiving zero data having data and trailer values of "0" from the solid state drive.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 7
