PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a control method for a fuel cell system and a fuel cell automobile, which improve an efficiency of the fuel cell system in the case of a load being a low load.SOLUTION: In a case where a load 30, for example motor power Pm is determined as a low load (Yes for step S4), a voltage reduction step (step S6 or S9) is provided to decrease a higher one of BAT voltage Vbat of FC voltage Vfc, and therefore it is possible to supply a low voltage to the load 30 as a load terminal voltage Vinv, thus reducing a load loss.
