<p>PURPOSE:To display the expanded image, wherein the amount of data is more than that of the ordinary images in the specified searching range as required in a scanning sonar apparatus, together then with the ordinary images. CONSTITUTION:In addition to a scan converter 1 for ordinary images, a second scan converter 2 is provided. In the second scan converter, the minimum unit region for address conversion is fractionized in response to the expanding rate. The address of the rectangular coordinate system is outputted for every fractionized unit region. The above described address of the rectangular coordinate system in the range, which is specified by an expanded-region specifying means (light pen or joy stick) 9, is corrected to the rectangular address of an expanded- image auxiliary memory device 3 by an address correcting device means 4. The received data are stored in the expanded-image auxiliary memory device 3 in accordance with the corrected address. The CRT raster-scanning display is read out at the same speed so that the image of the main (for ordinary image) memory device 11 and the image of the auxiliary memory device form one image on the CRT.</p> |
