PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To appropriately achieve both stability of ink and high glossiness when glossy ink is used.SOLUTION: A printer 10 performing printing on a medium 50 in inkjet printing includes: a head for glossy ink which is an inkjet head for discharging ink droplet of glossy ink; a heater 22; and an ultraviolet light source 18. The glossy ink is ink containing an ultraviolet curable resin cured by irradiation with ultraviolet rays, a glossy pigment, and a solvent dispersing the pigment. The glossy pigment is a pigment having a particle size of 0.5 μm or less. The heater 22 heats the medium, and thereby volatilizes and removes the solvent in the glossy ink. The ultraviolet light source 18 irradiates a dot of the glossy ink on the medium 50 with the ultraviolet rays after a previously set stand-by time has passed from such a timing that the ink droplet of the glossy ink has landed on the medium.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
