In a gas shielded welding (consumable electrode) and cutting, a mixture of liquid oxygen and liquid argon is evaporated and supplied to welding and cutting devices. The liquid mixing may be carried out by the user. As shown, the liquid mixture is held in a heatinsulated container provided with a filler pipe and closure valve 3 and, for maintenance of pressure over the liquid, a safety valve 2. The liquid is taken, through a shut-off valve 4, to an evaporator 6 from which the gas mixture is distributed, through a pressure regulating device, to take-off valves 8. The mixture may contain up to about 1% (by vol.) nitrogen. |
