1,142,117. Ironing machines. ELECTROLUX A.B. 5 May, 1967 [6 May, 1966], No. 20935/67. Heading D1A. In an ironing machine wherein a shoe 2 is movable automatically towards and away from a roller 1 when it starts and stops rotating, the shoe 2 is carried on a supporting arm 3 swingably mounted on the ironing machine in association with the roller driving mechanism and a turnable eccentric disc 11 is positioned between the arm 3 and an operating member 6 so that the shoe may be disengaged from the roller 1 independently of the mounting of arms 3 on the machine. As shown, arm 3 is rotatably mounted on a tubular support 4 within which is a shaft 5 actuated by a driving member. Disc 11 is carried on a manually operable arm 9 mounted in bearings in a yoke (8), fig. 3 (not shown), attached to the arm 6 which is carried on shaft 5 and biassed by spring 13. |
