The conveyor tube has an inlet nozzle (13) with tapered sides adjacent to a section with parallel internal grooves (15) of even pitch (p). The conveyor has a discharge sleeve (12). The grooves cause air to flow in a circle along the edges of the tube, keeping the material away from the edges. The material impinges on an end plate (17) which stops the forward motion and allows it to fall.
