<p>PURPOSE:To prevent the lowering in the detection capacity of a target to be searched, by performing the suppression of clutter, when a target having a large expanse or a plurality of targets is present, by using a statistical amount receiving no effect of said targets. CONSTITUTION:The title apparatus is constituted of a statistical amount calculation means 1 for calculating the statistical amount of the radar receiving signal amplitude of a preset distance or azimuth range, a target detection means 2 for outputting a target detection signal on the basis of radar receiving signal amplitude, a statistical amount selection means 3 for outputting the statistical amount signal from the statistical amount calculation means 1 and the signal from the target detection means 2 upon the reception of both signals and a suppressing processing means 4 for performing the suppressing processing of the unnecessary signal in a radar receiving signal on the basis of the statistical amount signal of the statistical amount selection means 3. By this apparatus, clutter is suppressed up to a receiver noise level and the detection capacity of the target adjacent to a large target and the target close to a plurality of targets close to each other can be enhanced.</p> |
