PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance dispersion capability of fluororesin, uniformly mix an active material and the fluororesin in slurry, and retard dispersion of internal impedance even if charge/discharge is repeated by adding a surfactant in the slurry. SOLUTION: A positive electrode of an alkaline storage battery is manufactured in a first step for manufacturing slurry by adding water and fluororesin dispersion to active material powder mainly comprising nickel hydroxide, and a second step for filling the slurry in a metal porous body having three- dimensionally continued pores. A surfactant is added to the slurry in the first step. The dispersion capability of the fluororesin is enhanced, and the active material and the fluororesin are uniformly mixed in the slurry. The coming off of the active material from the metal porous body in the positive electrode during charge/discharge is retarded, and the generation of the dispersion of internal impedance is also retarded. |
