The disubstituted Z-alkenes of general formula I are prepared by reaction of aldehydes of general formula II with alkyltriphenylphosphonium halogenide of general formula III with use of lithium 1,3-diaminopropane as a base. The above-mentioned procedure can be used for preparation of pheromones of important insect pests.<IMAGE>
