CONNECTION FOR PHASE SHIFT MEASURING

The connection belongs to the field of electrical measurement but it can also be utilized in the field of instrumentation. The connection handles the problem of precise automatic measurement of the phase shift of harmonic signals in the wide frequency range .The greater is the precision of measurement of the phase shift, the higher is the frequency of the clock pulses of the control and evaluation unit and the greater is the difference of the frequency of the measured signal and frequency of the clock pulses. The wide frequency range of measurement is given by properties of the element with charge transfer. The introduced goal is achieved by the fact that the control and evaluation unit (1) evaluates the frequency of the compared signal U1 directly via the shaping circuit (2) and timed delayed measured signal U2, which is delivered to the control and evaluation unit (1) indirectly via the element (3) with charge transfer, adder (4), rectifier (5) and A/D converter (6), hence evaluating it from the difference of the frequency of the comparing signal U1 and frequency of the signal of clock pulses of the control and evaluation unit (1), which is followed by the element (3) with charge transfer so that the value of the signal amplitude on the output of the A/D converter (6) would be maximal.<IMAGE>
