The double-acting hydraulic ram has a piston with continuous rod protruding through both cylinder end covers. The latter (2, 2, 2`) form control covers, accommodating between them a hollow stepped control slide (6, 6`) above the piston rod (4, 4`) and at right angles to it. The slide can have portions of three different diameters, working in a correspondingly stepped bore, also a transfer groove, while there are several of the latter in the bore. First and second control drillings connect the stepped bore and the bore for the piston rod. ADVANTAGE - Easy matching of stroke to user`s requirements, being for use with a hydraulic oscillator.
