PURPOSE:To provide a new transformed human TNF having antitumor action similar to that of human TNF or its conversion product and free from promoting action on cancer metastasis in contrast with human TNF. CONSTITUTION:The objective polypeptide is a tumor necrosis factor polypeptide or its conversion product having an amino acid sequence expressed by the amino acids from the 1st Ser to the 155th Leu of formula provided that the amino acid sequence from the 1st Ser to the 8th Asp or the corresponding amino acid sequence of the conversion product contains at least one amino acid sequence of Arg-Gly-Asp and is substituted with an amino acid sequence containing 3 to 16 amino acids. The present invention also relates to a conversion product of the polypeptide, a plasmid, a transformant, their production process, a pharmaceutical composition and a DNA. |
