<p>PURPOSE:To shorten a tracking time by extracting a pilot signal from a magnetic tape in a standstill state with a VTR of AFT system and setting the activating method of a capstan motor based on the detected information of the relative position of a track and a video head. CONSTITUTION:A rotary video head 5 is rotated from a proper position on the stopping magnetic tape 7 and recorded pilot signals (f1-f4) are read then regenerative ATF pilot signal is obtained. An AFT servo signal is extracted from the signal and a reference AFT pilot signal from a servo control part 2 and information about the relative position relation between the position of the video head and the track of the present tape 7 is detected. The timing of a capstan servo output signal from the control part 2 is properly varied and set and effective tracking is executed. Consequently, a period from the activation of the capstanmotor 4 to the completion of tracking is remarkably shortened.</p> |
