<p>PURPOSE:To make possible returning of a taken out medium to an original cell even if the self-address information of a host device is lost or the power source of the device is turned off during the moving action of the medium. CONSTITUTION:A controller 6 has an I/OA 61, a CPU 62, I/OB 63 and a non- volatile memory 64. This non-volatile memory 64 has an original address storage section 641 and a present address storage section 642. Their memory contents are not lost even if the device power source is turned off. The CPU 62 reads the information out of the non-volatile memory 64 and reports the information to the host device 5 when the power source of the device is turned off. The CPU 62 reads the original address and the present address out of the non- volatile memory 64 and makes the cell check operation of the original address at the point of the time the processing for returning on of the power source ends. The CPU also automatically executes the movement of the medium from the present address to the original address before the report of the completion of the power source rising processing to the host device 5.</p> |
