<p>Easy opening metal closure which can be opened with a teaspoon attached by crimping to a container body of the can type and the like on which a circular groove is provided adjacent to the crimping in the base of which there is a line of weakness or cut; in this closure the groove is constructed to have a geometry which creates a critical effective lever angle for the teaspoon which is used to open it, limited to less than 19 degree with the groove width being selected to be less than 1.7 mm; the said closure is fitted with other members designed to keep it safe against accidental impacts and to keep it easy to open by any user with the various teaspoons available, such as necking, a larger cut length, the presence of non-slip paints and protuberances/bends to provide a better purchase for the tip of the teaspoon. <IMAGE></p> |
