PURPOSE: An electronic commerce method is provided to classify services or commodities by the area and the business type and make a database including an area data field linked with the services or commodities data, so that it can allow a consumer to compare the services or the commodities within a specified area and a seller to efficiently register its service or commodity in a site classified by the business type. CONSTITUTION: An electronic commerce method includes allowing a service provider or a commodity seller to registering the service or the commodity at an electronic commerce service site, and the service site making a service or commodity information database classified by the business type and the service area in order to enable a consumer to search for the service or commodity within a specified area or a business type. In making the electronic commerce database, a zip code or an area code of a telephone number can be used.
