PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hand tool device having two or more operation modes and a simple structure. SOLUTION: This hand tool device has at least two operation modes 2 switchable by a connecting slider 4 arranged in the direction perpendicular to a tool spindle 3. The connecting slider 4 is drive-connected to a transmission pinion 11 by at least one hook projection 6 relatively unrotatable and movable in the axial direction. The tool spindle 3 is held on a housing 5 in a third operation mode 2b switchable by the connecting slider 4, and the hook projection 6 is hooked on a recess 7 on the housing side at a position corresponding to the third operation mode 2b. The tool spindle 3 is made freely rotatable in a fourth operation mode 2c, and the hook projection 6 can be rotated in a free space 8 at a position corresponding to the fourth operation mode 2c.
