PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an aluminum alloy plate for a battery case excellent in press moldability to be used for a lithium ion battery case, reducing a swelling deformation quantity even if internal pressure of the case increases, and having high pressure proof performance, and a manufacturing method therefor. SOLUTION: This aluminum alloy plate for the battery case includes 0.05 to 0.3 mass % of Cu, 0.3 to 1.0 mass % of Mg, and 0.6 to 1.5 mass % of Mn, and includes either one or more kinds of Si and Fe by 0.1 to 1.0 mass %. A residual part has the composition composed of aluminum and an unavoidable impurity, and is manufactured by performing ageing processing in a temperature range of 150 to 230 deg.C after hot rolling and clod rolling, and electric conductivity is 38 to 41% IACS.
