An optical recording medium having wobbles disposed desirably in view of a production process when wobbles are provided at part of the boundaries between lands and grooves. An optical recording medium comprising an optical recording layer (16) and a protection layer (17) having uneven shapes in conformity with grooves (15a) and laminated on a disc-form disk substrate (15) having grooves (15a) formed in the surface thereof and having protrusions and recesses divided for each track region by the grooves (15a), the optical recording medium being formatted so as to use both the protrusions (lands (L)) and the recesses (grooves (G)) as recording areas, wherein wobbles (W) for providing clock information or address information are formed on side wall portions, out of a pair of opposing side walls constituting the grooves (15a), on the inner peripheral side of the disk substrate (15) as viewed from recesses (grooves (G)) and on the outer peripheral side of the disk substrate (15) as viewed from protrusions (lands (L)).
