SEALING PLATE USED FOR REPAIRING A DAMAGED AREA IN A COVER OF A REACTOR PRESSURE VESSEL

PURPOSE: A sealing plate for repairing a damaged area of a pressure vessel cover is provided to restore the cover of the pressure vessel by permanently sealing low alloy steel or other materials exposed in the damage area against corrosion from water or crack from stress with the sealing plate. CONSTITUTION: A sealing plate(70) for repairing the damaged portion of a pressure vessel cover is composed of a first surface(72), a second surface(74) opposed to the first surface, a sealing part(76) placed in the second surface to restrict the outer shape of the sealing plate, a sealing lip(78) extended from the outer periphery of the sealing part, a cavity part(82) placed in the second surface and restricted by the sealing part, and at least one purge port(80) extended from the first surface to the cavity part and communicated with the cavity part to flow fluid.
