PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical lens blocking device equipped with a simple centering mechanism capable of moving an optical lens with different edge thickness positively into a predetermined blocking position without needing a blocking ring. SOLUTION: A centering mechanism 13 is provided around a placing table 11 on which a lens blank 1 is installed, to allow the geometric center of the lens blank 1 to coincide with the center of the placing table 1. The centering mechanism 13 is provided with three clamping pins 31 for pressing the outer peripheral surface of the lens blank 1. The placing table 11 on which the lens blank 1 is placed, is pushed up by an air cylinder 12 when blocking, and the concave surface 1a side outer peripheral edge of the lens blank 1 is pressed to the lower faces of locking parts 31A of the clamping pins 31 to position the concave surface 1a into a blocking position H<SB>2</SB>. In this state, a fixture 2 is lowered by a predetermined quantity to press and solidify wax dropped on the concave surface 1a of the lens blank 1.
