PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent ink from leaking from an ink supply needle of a cartridge holder at the time when an ink cartridge is not mounted.SOLUTION: Ink supply needles 7(1)-7(4) of a cartridge holder 80 comprise ink flow passages 73, valve members 90 and coil springs 74. The valve member 90 is positioned at a closed position 90A where a blocking part 91 blocks the ink flow passage 73 with an energization force of the coil spring 74 in the state where an ink cartridge 10 is not mounted. At the closed position 90A, shanks 92 of the valve members 90 protrude from needle tip parts 72 of the ink supply needles 7(1)-7(4). The valve member 90 moves to an opened position 90B where the block part 91 does not block the ink flow passage 73 with the shank 92 pressed by a valve body 46 on the ink cartridge 10 side when the ink cartridge 10 is mounted.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4 |
