摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To set a pressing load to a target value with a high accuracy.SOLUTION: A pressing load setting method for a tire testing machine rotates upper and lower spindles 20 and drives a driving source 42 for relatively moving a tested tire 10 and a drum 30 so that a pressing load is increased, and stops the driving of the driving source 42 with the timing by which the pressing load becomes a predetermined value lower than a target value. The value of the pressing load and a relative distance between the tested tire 10 and the drum 30 are measured respectively at the timing before and after the pressing load is increased which is the timing at which the position of the peripheral direction of the tested tire 10 remains the same. A dynamic vertical spring constant of the tested tire 10 is calculated using variation of the pressing load and variation of the relative distance. After that, an adjustment amount which is the distance causing the tested tire 10 and the drum 30 to relatively move so that the present value becomes the target value is calculated using a difference between the present value which is the value of the pressing load when the relative movement is stopped and the target value, and the dynamic vertical spring constant. Then, the tested tire 10 and the drum 30 are relatively moved by the adjustment value.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
