PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power conversion device capable of preventing thermal destruction of a switching element caused by regeneration from an inductive load even in the case where synchronous rectification control is disabled in an inverter circuit by an abnormality and the switching element is turned off, while reducing a loss by performing synchronous rectification also at an inverter side.SOLUTION: A PWM rectifier circuit and an inverter circuit comprise switching elements each formed from a SiC-MOSFET including a parasitic diode or a GaN-MOSFET including a parasitic diode. An external diode is not connected to the switching element of the PWM rectifier circuit, and synchronous rectification control is performed to conduct a reflux current by turning on the switching element. An external diode is connected in reverse parallel to the switching element of the inverter circuit, and synchronous rectification control is performed to conduct a reflux current by turning on the switching element when performing regeneration from an inductive load.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2 |
