The present invention provides phenoxy-alkanol amine derivatives having the general formula I (I) and their pharmaceutically acceptable salts, wherein the radicals R1, R2 and R3 which can be identical or different represent hydrogen, lower alkyl containing 1 or 2 C atoms, methoxy, halogen, nitro, amino or acyl-amino groups. The compounds of formula I according to the present invention are highly effective B1specific sympathicomimetics having a partial antagonistic component.
