Diving watch

A description is given of a diving watch which is proof against seawater and has a setting ring which is rotatably guided on its housing, is inscribed for the purpose of marking time and is provided with axially projecting resilient hooks which rest on guide surfaces on the watch housing which extend radially in relation to an annular surface provided with latching positions, acting in the circumferential direction, for the free ends of the hooks. By axial pressure on the setting ring, the hooks disengage and the setting ring can easily be rotated. It engages reliably and remains in the set position when it is let go again. This design allows the use of plastic for latching hooks and setting ring. Corrosion is avoided in this way.
