A process for the production of reflectors with a conical cover or bowl shaped reflection surface for the directional reflection of light or heat, by means of two or more moulds (6,7), which can be moved relative to each other.During the production process a foil strip (5) with reflective properties is fed between two moulds (6, 7) working together. Firstly these are moved together until, a holding device (10,11) fitted around the moulds (6,7) comes into contact with the strip (5) and grips it, they are then moved closer together until a casting position is achieved by the shaping and stretching of that part of the strip (5) situated between the moulds. Casting material is injected into the moulds (6, 7) on the convex side of the foil strip and the two moulds (6, 7) are moved apart after the material has hardened, so that the foil strip (5) with the cast object can be fed on further and stopped as soon as a new piece of foil strip covers the two moulds (6, 7) and the holding device (10, 11).<IMAGE> |
