The invention concerns a process for inducing a state of relaxation in a human being or an animal. A signal with a frequency below the threshold of hearing is produced in a generator (2) and transmitted through two channels (4, 5) to a corresponding amplifier (8, 7). The frequency response in one channel (5) is rectified so that the signals transmitted by the two channels have the same frequency but opposite amplitude characteristics. The useful signal containing, for example, the information to be learned is transmitted by two additional channels (9, 10) to the amplifiers (7, 8) where it modulates the signal produced by the generator (2). The modulated signals are transmitted separately to the learner's auditory system, through one ear. |
