<p>PURPOSE:To perform highly reliable switching by comparing a current date with a switching date at a request for switching and switching current software to software for update unless the current data matches the switching date. CONSTITUTION:When the power source of a terminal equipment is turned ON, switching instruction information in a nonvolatile memory 3 is referred to; when a switching instruction is ON, the current date read out by the calendar function of a timer mechanism 4 and it is decided whether or not the current date matche the switching date. When the current date matche the switching date, an in-operation system switching process is performed and an in-operation system display is changed from an old system to a new system. Then a program is loaded. Thus, whether or not the system is switched to the new system is determined by using the switching instruction information in the memory 3 and the calendar function of the timer mechanism 4 in combination, so even if a wrong switching instruction or switching date is set, the system is prevented from being switched to the new system by mistake.</p> |
