PURPOSE:To prevent the illicit usage of a copying machine by limiting a person who is permitted to use the copying machine in the case of sharing one copying machine with plural departments. CONSTITUTION:A fingerprint read unit 45 is provided in a copying button, and the fingerprint of the person who is permitted to use the machine (registered person) is previously stored in a hard disk 47. When the copying button is depressed, the fingerprint of an operator is read and compared with that of the registered person. Only in the case the equal fingerprint is found, the usage of the copying machine is permitted. The use states such as the number of sheets of copy, etc., are recorded in the hard disk 47 together with a date and the number of sheets of copy every registered person. |
