PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a small-sized bank note storage device. SOLUTION: This device comprises a safe which stores received bank notes, a slit type bank note reception opening formed on the safe, at least a couple of storage bars which practice loop motion to move in and out of the safe through the bank note reception opening, and a driving device which makes the storage bars practice flat loop motion to move away from the bank note reception opening in a plane nearly parallel to a holding part for bank notes in the safe after crossing the bank note reception part.
