PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the subject nonwoven fabric capable of easily making a composite material through heat-sealing with another material and converting the composite material into an excellent functional material. SOLUTION: This heat seal type nonwoven fabric is obtained by the following process: a mat consisting mainly of pulp fibers each 0.05-5mm in length is made using a mat former, and impregnated with a binder with a binder spraying device 8 by spraying method followed by setting the binder by a dryer 9, and the reverse surface is then also impregnated with the binder followed by setting it in the similar way. The binder on the surface(s) to be subjected to heat sealing is a mixture of a cross-linking-type emulsion and a thermoplastic resin emulsion. |
